Glee is back

I had suggested earlier that Glee doesn't suck. It's back on and worth a taping.

The pilot was rebroadcast with some extra (worthwhile) footage. They also did a "tweet peat" rebroadcast where the cast tweeted. I was hoping for something closer to DVD commentary, but it was mainly chatter. Good idea, but didn't work first time out.

Maybe just record commentary and put it on the secondary audio track?

TV: Glee

We have a TiVo/Myth wishlist set up to catch shows called "Pilot", which means it will catch pilot episodes. Most suck, but every once in a while you'll catch something great like Wonderfalls, Veronica Mars, BTVS, etc. Glee doesn't suck.

Dear Wife granted it a Season Pass, or would have it there were any new episodes coming up. But the series doesn't start until Fall.

Urban Peasant on ION Life

68_3 - KPXD ION Life , one of the free Over The Air (OTA) digital channels being broadcast, is running the Urban Peasant cooking show. Hosted by James Barber, now deceased after a very full life, the show is easily the best cooking show I've ever seen.

He is gentle, funny, caring, and pragmatic. Joe Bob says check it out.

DTV converter box

Got a TR-40 (reduced price DTVPal) with my $40 card; I'm impressed.

Setup and connection was easy. I jacked in a pair of rabbit ears I had around the house and pulled in 31 channels. Fully a third of those were Spanish and/or televangelists and the Pal allowed me to pare them down to about 20 remaining channels.

We have DirecTV so we probably won't use it much, but I left it connected to the projector for our bigscreen watching pleasure.
