I assume C&P is still running behind the velvet ropes, and ill-mannered wolves are the reason for the change.
Can anyone confirm the blog is still active in the VIP room?

I think Destiny wanted to take a break and just closed her blog until she feels like opening it back up. Maybe it will open again, maybe not. Don't know.
I really liked her page, hope she opens it back again. She has a very interesting way of voicing her thoughts. It was my first stop of the day. Dave, you too.
I have to tell my son, part of learning to fight is getting hit in the face some times (he doesn't like it much right now). Eventually, once you learn to control your anger of getting hit, you will concentrate and dominate the fight when you find their weakness. (BTW, I'm not beating him, he takes MMA training)

Are you sure we don't need to call child welfare ~D? :0)
Thanks ~D. Will miss her take too. But it is what it is and its only the blogoshere, not real life (or shouldn't be).
Yes, Destiny is still running her blog, for invited readers. It's not like she has totally walked away from being public - she spoke at the Visitors Section at Monday night's City Council worksession (first time, she said) in favor of the "Tree the Town" program.
Not to speak for Destiny, but I think it would be fair to say that she became disgusted with the hateful stuff being placed on her blog by anonymous posters. She has apparently also realized that most of the anonymous posts made to her blog were from the same one or two IP addresses - I am told that the Dallas Morning News recently realized the same thing, that 70% of the anonymous posts were from one IP address. So, instead of providing a place for the Vox Populi, perhaps she realized that she was only providing a place where one hate-filled person could rant, and, as she said, make the people who were legitimately questioning things and looking for change appear to be beyond the pale.
For all that Destiny is "avant garde" in appearance and manner, she's actually a very principled person who takes her principles seriously...if only the anonymous posters had her principles, we wouldn't have had this situation...

@mccalpin
It seems easier to just require a blogger/blogspot account to post a comment. I've toyed with the idea, mainly because it makes threads easier to follow. Of course it's hers to do with as she wishes. I didn't get an invite but I'll pretend it was an oversight and not a judgement on my eternal soul or anything like that.
I had not previously associated _avant garde_ appearance or manner with lack of principle; I hadn't even considered there might be such a connection.
Honestly, there he goes again.
Bloggermouse, you might try what I did - send her an email - it's not hard to find a valid address for her.
And I am trying to parse your second paragraph; no, I think I'll skip it...I think highly of Destiny and let it go at that...
